  • Brown bear

Brown bears live solitarily. They do not hibernate, but due to their slowing metabolism they spend the rigorous period with resting. They start to fill the nutrient store needed for this already during the summer months. Brown bears do not maintain a territory. The strongest males are in the front of the hierarchy, but a female protecting its cubs can be much more aggressive.
