Sea lion show

During the peak season, our guests can observe the playful captivating California sea lions as part of our entertaining sea lion show. The show is held twice a day and is a part of our musical training session.

As you enter our Zoo, you will find show schedules on the information boards and next to the animal enclosures.

The cost of the programme is included in your entry ticket to Sosto Zoo and is part of our gift to our guests.

We would like to draw our guests' attention to the fact that the times of the animal shows may change or be canceled according to the animals' rhythm of life or due to bad weather conditions!

Sea Lion Show

During the main season, our guests can enjoy the playful California sea lions' presentation twice a day as part of a musical training session or sea lion show.

During the training, the animals continuously pay attention to their caretakers, who direct them with verbal commands and hand signals. The educators work with the sea lion using a technique called positive reinforcement, rewarding them with fish treats after each successful exercise.

The Californian sea lion enclosure seating area opens 20 minutes before the show!

You can find the training schedule displayed on the information wall and next to the animals' enclosure after entering.

Feeding time

Every Monday and Friday at 9:30 a.m., you can watch the sharks of the Oceanarium have their mid-morning snack.

Watch your favorites work for their rewards during the seal show, and as you stroll around the Zoo, surprise our domestic animals or the big family of llamas with treats.

Spectacle feeding times: Mondays and Fridays from 9:30 a.m.

Location: Green Pyramid - Oceanarium

Admission to the organized spectacle feeding is included in the price of your entry ticket (just as sea lion show).

Camel ride

Enjoy a long ride on the ship of the desert! Take a ride on the Zoo's two-humped camel! A special desert experience awaits you in the comfortable camel saddle to the right of the main entrance, right after the gibbons.

Camel ride prices: HUF 2,000 / person

You can pay for your ticket on site with cash.

Available for person at least 120 cm tall, from the age of 5.

For the safety of our guests, the camel ride is not available in rainy weather due to the risk of slipping.

Camel riding is available:

Between September 1 and October 6, 2025, only on weekends.

From October 6, 2025, camel riding will be suspended until spring 2026.

Lemur forest

For those curious about the charming Madagascar lemurs, visit the lemur forest spread along the Tarzan Trail!

In this area, ring-tailed lemurs roam around among the guests.

We can admire the lemurs up close, take photos with them, but unfortunately, feeding and petting them is not allowed.

The Lemur Forest is open every day from 9:30-16:30.

Every day until October 6, 2025.

Zoo shuttle

Take a ride through our world with the SóstóZoo minibusses!

A cozy ride offers pleasant relaxation in the park's thirty-hectare oak forest for children, adults, and exhausted visitors. The 26-seat shuttles depart from NasiZoo. (60 m to the right from the main entrance)

Available every day during the opening hours: from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.!

Under 3 years: 500 HUF / person

3-18 years: 1000 HUF / person

Between 18-70 years: 1500 HUF / person

Over 70 years: 1000 HUF / person

You can pay for your ticket on site with cash or credit card.

Baby taxi

The 35 - hectare area of the zoo is difficult to cover on tiny feet, so the small trolley available for hire are a great help to families.

Rental fee: 2000 HUF / occasion - CURRENTLY AVAILABLE

Our baby taxi service can be requested and paid for at our ticket offices (in cash or by credit card).

VIP Guided Tour

Are you curious about the secrets behind our park?

Looking for a fulfilling leisure activity?

During the VIP guided tour, our educator colleague will exclusively reveal the secrets of Nyíregyházi Zoo to you in 1.5 hours.

During the tour, you'll also have the opportunity for lemur feeding and snake petting.

Important!

Lemur feeding is only available after the opening of the Lemur Forest, which depends on weather conditions. (usually open from April to the end of August)

To book the guided tour, please schedule an appointment in advance at education@sostozoo.hu.

Price: 25,000 HUF/group excluding the zoo entrance fee.

Arctic Ocean through VR

Discover the wildlife of the Arctic Ocean through VR.

"Immerse" yourself in the Arctic Ocean and observe the typical animals of the cold sky using VR and 4D elements.

Game running time: 5 minutes

From the age of 7 and a minimum height of 120 cm.

Price: 1900Ft/person

Száguldó folyó - Flume Ride

Try the Flum Ride, where you can sit in a log boat and be swept along by the current of the river, with life-like sword-winged dolphin figures rising from the water or a 10-metre drop-off in the middle of the ride.

(The operator reserves the right to suspend the game at any time.)

Duration: 4 minutes

Price: 2000Ft / person

Participation only for persons over 120 cm!

The service is not available to all persons over 120 cm:
Persons with a permanent health impairment
(e.g.: people with musculoskeletal, cardiovascular and cardiovascular diseases

Those under the influence of alcohol or mind-altering drugs

Climate Chamber

Step into the Climate Chamber, where you can not only see the atmosphere of the North Pole, but feel it on your skin. Marvel at the aurora borealis, see how the inuits live and walk through the snowfall.

The AuroraX - 4D Ice Age Sled

The AuroraX - 4D Ice Age Sled takes us back tens of thousands of years in time, where we can encounter the secrets of the past as new members of AuroraLab, the famous paleontology laboratory. During this adrenaline-filled experience, we encounter numerous animals that are no longer alive today. Ice Age inhabitants such as mammoths, saber-toothed tigers, argentavis, bison, and sloths all come to life, giving us a unique opportunity to get to know them.

Slide with us into the Ice Age and travel through time together with the help of virtual reality!

Duration of the experience: 5 minutes

Price: 2000 HUF / person

Tickets can be purchased at the ticket office in front of the AuroraX - 4D Ice Age Sled (cash, credit card, and Szépkártya (OTP, MBH, K&H)) at the Ice World Interactive Exhibition.

Due to the size of the VR glasses, the experience is available to children aged 7 and above who are at least 120 cm tall.
